Summer Goals: How To Get Your Body Beach Ready

Summer Goals: How To Get Your Body Beach Ready

Summer is finally upon us. Millions of Canadians are gearing up to spend their days lounging on the sunny shores of San Josef and Wasaga Beach. Ice cream vendors are stocking up and surfers are preparing to catch some amazing waves.

This also means it is time to get your body ready for the beach. But what exactly does it mean to have a beach body? And how do you go about achieving it? Well it isn’t actually as complicated as you might think. We have spoken to some of the best nutritionists and fitness gurus and have built this guide to help you get your body beach ready for the summer!

Built In The Kitchen

There is a saying in the gym community that abs are built in the kitchen. And this is one of the most important aspects of achieving your fitness goals. All the working out in the world is meaningless if your diet isn’t right.

Most people assume that the key to losing weight is to starve yourself. But this isn’t true at all. Instead you need to ensure you are exercising while also meeting your calorie intake for the day. Keep in mind you will actually need more calories than normal after working out. The key is to ensure you are eating the right things. Lean meats, beans, lentils, and low-fat dairy products are the key here. Avoid processed foods as much as possible.

If you are trying to put on weight then you will want to focus on eating red meats, nuts, rice, and potatoes. Processed foods are also a good way to put on weight but you should still keep them to a minimum. Remember, starving yourself is never a good idea. Your body needs energy to gain or lose weight.

Steroids

When people think of steroids they assume they are only used by bodybuilders trying to become gigantic. But steroids, when used properly and in moderation, are actually an extremely useful tool for achieving your fitness goals.

Steroids have a number of uses. The most commonly known use is to help increase muscle mass and allow you to work out for longer. But they are also excellent anti-inflammatories. They can reduce swelling and are helpful for those suffering from arthritis and asthma. If either of those conditions hinder you from working out properly then you might want to consider steroids.

The first step is always to consult your doctor. They will tell you if steroids are right for you and can direct you towards a reputable supplier like Canada Steroid Depot, this is a steroid shop in Canada that specializes in a wide range of supplements. Or GHCanada which focuses more on workout supplements.

Hitting The Gym

We have spoken a lot about working out in this guide. And we cannot overstate the importance of maintaining a good workout routine. If you want to get the beach body of your dreams you need to put in the work. Whether that is at the gym, out in nature, or through a full body workout.

I personally am a big fan of a full body workout regime. This can be achieved through a number of fun activities such as bouldering or swimming. The only downside to this is that the results are generally a lot slower to manifest. But these activities are often extremely fun and social. I have met some of my closest friends at my local bouldering gym.

If you are going to a regular gym then you will need to plan a routine that spends time focusing on each area of your body on a rotating basis. Some people opt for the push / pull / legs schedule. Others go for back and biceps, chest and triceps, and then legs.

The key here is consistency. You won’t see results overnight. Or even after a few months. It can often take a year or more to see considerable physical results. But you will notice an increase in your energy levels and your mood improving quite soon after starting your workout journey.

Love Yourself

We have spoken a lot about the physical steps you can take to get your body ready for the beach. But there is also a lot of mental and emotional work that goes into it as well. And the main focus is learning to love yourself.

The truth of the matter is there is no such thing as a beach body. Your body is beautiful no matter what. The beach isn’t a place designed for one body type. It is for everyone to enjoy. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put the work in to improve your physical health. But you also need to spend some time being kinder to yourself and appreciating your body no matter what.
